I can predict too!

At the last hours of 2006, in this town in USA, I have decided that I want to share my predictions for 2007 with all the 4ts,4teens, and all the in betweens that are out there.

I predict that 2007 will be a year full of a lot of action, and I know that the good guys will be the winner in the long run. This is after all 2007 and that means that we have 2 times more 007 and everything always go right with one James Bond, just imagine this year we have two!

I also predict that for the forthcoming year, people will realize the importance of inner peace and humanity and will start to make extra efforts to pursue more of the happiness and less of the money. Religion and faith will have a more dominant role in the society, and for the first time maybe the religions of the world will learn to co exist in a peaceful manner. Tolerance will be practiced through out the world and understanding will rule.

I prophesize that 2007 will promote a sense of well being in people that prompts living a healthier lifestyles, like eating healthier, exercising more and stopping all the bad health habits like smoking and drinking excessively. As a result of this, people will become kinder and more compassionate. They will value other people lives more and will give helping hands to each other more often.

I predict that the new UN secretary general, with the help of the members of united nation, despite the rocky road, will be able to find a resolution to the roots of all the troubles of the world and with small but steady steps will communicate and resolve the issues of hunger, power conflict, nuclear power and many other difficulties that ail the world every minute.

I prophesize that the environmental issues will be somewhat eased and the population of the world will all give a little to save the other living things that populate this earth. I also know that the citizens of planet earth will do everything in their power to ease the global warming, because they do not want another tsunami, earth quake or a hurricane to take thousands of lives and leave millions homeless.

I know that creative minds will take the technology further and will come up with more gadgets to make the world smaller and to keep people closer for better or worse. The scientists will continue to save more lives by finding more cures to numerous illnesses, and by experimenting and researching issues that seem impossible. Yes they will succeed.

Ultimately,I wish you a healthy, peaceful and happy 2 x 007. I just know that 2007 will be a good year, you just wait and see.

Taking inspiration from John Lennon, just imagine what a world based on Truth would be like:

"Politicians, instead of twisting, contorting, and spinning all information, would tell us how things really are. Instead of the relentless manipulation of facts, cover up of truth, endless redactions, omissions, and convenient half-truths, they would be brave enough and conscientious enough to stand up and tell it like it is. Global warming? Weapons of Mass Destruction? Peace and Freedom and Democracy? Environmental damage? Polution? National Security? Tell it like it is! Stop all the lies and distortions and be truthful, honest, and humble!

Imagine what TV would be like if the Television told us the truth. What would TV news look like? What would entertainment shows look like? It would be a revolution! Would we even be able to recognize it? Do we even know what truth on TV looks and sounds like?

Imagine if music were truthful -- instead of the slick corporate productions of mass entertainment, we listened to real artists expressing their music as they truthfully and honestly feel. What would the radio sound like if it were filled with honest and truthful music, music that comes from the the heart and from one's spirit, not a corporate boardroom, feeding us music that we're "supposed" to like, based on market share and homogenious demographics.

Imagine if we told the truth about history. What if, instead of reading a paragraph in US history books about "Indians," there were chapters that honestly delt with the brutal genocide inflicted upon the indigenous peoples of the "new world"? How different would be our understanding of the present?

Imagine if religions told us the truth. What if, instead of trying to fill us with fear, ignorance, and intolerance, organized religions admitted to being what they really are -- inventions and convenient truths, myths and stories to live by, but not a unique and privileged take on "absolute" truth? Maybe we could stop slaughtering each other for imagined and imaginary reasons. Maybe we could learn that true spirituality is not about what you believe, or what book you read, or what holy building you choose to pray in, or about what idol you bow down before, but about what is in your heart and how you treat your fellow sentient beings and how you treat the Earth and all living beings with a shared sense of compassion and interconnectivity.

Imagine if we told the truth about ourselves to our selves. What would it be like if we stopped deluding ourselves and lived honestly with our selves, our emotions, our reactions, and the way we treat others? What if we were honest with our pain, our suffering, our hopes, our joys, our pleasures? What if our honesty freed us from our illusions, our self-centered judgments, our projected criticisms of others? What would we be like as honest human beings with integrity?

If we can imagine it, then we can make it happen. Let's all strive to make 2007 a year of Truth -- personally, culturally, nationally, and globally. Only the Truth will SET US FREE!"

Here's to the New Year. OH SEVEN!

THOSE WHO ARE NOT OPTIMIST SHOULD KNOW THAT DREAMS AND IMAGINATIONS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN REALITY
