Annoyed, Irritated and Miffed

I am a bit annoyed today: Irritated by all these younger than me folks who think that because I look older or have an accent, I am clueless about the technology and the environment around me and treat me like an invalid or someone with a sickness.  Certain values in life, such as being respectful and tolerant,  remains constant in life whether you are from the generation of the baby boomers, millennials, X, Y or Z, and the faster the younger folks get this the easier is their lives.

Take notes you younger folks:

  • If I ask you a question and there is a younger person next to me, you better look at me and answer me and not my companion, especially if I hold the credit card in my hands
  • I know what Uber is and I don't need your help to install the app or to explain to me what a customer rating in Uber means, because chances are that my score is already better than yours
  • If I ask you a question that you should know the answer, because it is your job to know it, don't tell me that "oh let me google it for you" as if I am incapacitated.  It just makes you look so silly and not in a good way
  • If I don't hear you the first time, I am not deaf and you don't need to yell, The problem is that you cannot articulate the words out of your mouth, or you don't speak proper English, LOL is not a world in the dictionary
  • Next time you laugh at my accent, ask yourself how many languages you personally speak, read or write, including English
  • If you are constantly on your electronic device talking, texting, tweeting and ignoring your surroundings......it does not mean that you are a busy person, it looks to me that you have no life of your own
  • You may have the world at the tip of your finger, but you don't have much manners and social skills.  Texting at the dinner table with your family is seriously rude
  • I love your free spirit, but remember that my generation  raised yours and the last thing that you want is to mess with us, because we do have an attitude of our own
This is just the  warm up, because the list can go on and on....
